Merced’s Main Street lit up with color, music, and community spirit on Oct. 23 during the Merced County Indian Chamber of Commerce’s first Diwali Night celebration.
The free event welcomed more than 200 attendees and featured about 40 vendors, including local businesses and organizations, along with food, shopping, and cultural displays.
During the event, guests were delighted with traditional dishes sold by local vendors.
Musicians brought their traditional instruments to sing and play tunes commemorating the occasion.
The night ended with lively dance performances by local children and adults who entertained the crowd gathered at the heart of the celebration.
