People took to the streets in “No Kings” protests across the U.S. and world on Saturday – including here in Merced.
Protesters lined the sidewalks on both sides of M Street in the area near Courthouse Park, from about 10 a.m. until around noon. Protests were also held in other Valley cities, including Modesto and Fresno.
Saturday’s protest was the third “No Kings” rally in Merced since the administration of President Donald Trump took office.
Some attendees The Merced FOCUS spoke with were upset about the administration’s crackdown on immigrant communities. Others disagreed with the ongoing war in Iran and fears that there are no end in sight to the conflict.
