Each year, Merced City Council and city staff host a series of town hall meetings so residents can ask questions, share their thoughts and meet their city representatives.
The city council and administrators use feedback from the town hall meetings to set policy priorities for the next budget cycle, which begins in July.
This year, there will be three town hall meetings at the end of January and beginning of February. Each meeting is held in the evening in a different area of the city. No RSVP is required to attend. In the past, the town halls have been livestreamed on the city’s online platforms and Facebook.
“These meetings are a great way for residents to share what’s important to them and collaborate with the City Council on key issues affecting our community,” Mayor Matthew Serratto said. “We look forward to hearing directly from our residents and working together to make Merced an even better place to live.”
