Visitors to downtown Merced will notice the walls of buildings are now resplendent with color, thanks to local artists who painted several murals during an arts festival .
Rachel Livinal, reporter for the Merced FOCUS and KVPR, recently interviewed many of the artists behind the murals for the Central Valley Daily Podcast.
Livinal was also interviewed by Central Valley Daily host Soreath Hok about the impact of the murals and Merced’s growing arts scene. The murals are also significant as Merced was recently named as a cultural district by the state of California.
