Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria recently was a guest of The Maddy Institute, where she spoke with Executive Director Blake Zante about what’s ahead during her second term in office.
During the beginning of the conversation, Zante asked Soria about the top issues in Assembly District 27, which includes most of Merced County, and parts of Madera and Fresno counties.
Soria said affordability and cost of living is the top concern she hears about from constituents.
“Families are stuggling on a day-to day basis, just to put food on their table, to put gas in their vehicle,” Soria told Zante.
Soria also spoke about other concerns she hears from constituents, such as access to healthcare. In addition, she elaborated on proposed legislation in the works.
